Compendium of Sanitation Systems and Technologies for the Wider Caribbean Region
This compendium is a technical and planning guide specifically adapted for the Wider Caribbean Region, aimed at guiding engineers and planners in the implementation of sustainable and climate-resilient sanitation systems. The document structures 48 proven technologies into six configurable systems that prioritize nature-based solutions and the circular economy, promoting the recovery of resources such as water, energy, and nutrients. In addition to technical sheets, it integrates cross-cutting issues of governance, gender, and financing aligned with the Regional Strategic Action Plan (RSAP), complemented by real-life case studies that demonstrate the feasibility of these solutions in urban and peri-urban contexts throughout the region.
